Declaration for Widow's Pension Act of June 27 1890
State of Kentucky County of Hardin SS: On this 4th day of March A.D. one thousand nine hundred and four personally appeared before me a Clerk of the County Court within and for the County and State aforesaid, Elizabeth Masters, age 68 a resident of Hardin Kentucky who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of Joseph Masters who enlisted under the name of Joseph Masters on the 18th September A.D. 1862 in Co. C 18 Reg Pennsylvania Cav as a Private and served at least ninety days in the late war of the Rebellion, who; was Honorably Discharged and died on the 29th day of Feb 1904.
That she was married under the name of Elizabeth Fox, to said Jospeh Masters, on 28th February 1856 by J.T.Smith at Green County Pennsylvania there being no legal barrier to such marriage neither of them had been previously married.
That she has not remarried since the death of Joseph Masters.
Attorney for Elizabeth Masters is G.W. Sinclair of Elizabethtown Ky, he charges the sum of $10 for his services. Her post office is Elizabethtown, County of Hardin and state of Kentucky.

Application for Reimbursement.
19 April 1911 - Application to obtain reimbursement from the accrued pension for expenses paid by claimant for the last sickness and for the burial of Elizabeth Masters who was pensioner of the United States by certificate number 572989 on account of the service of Joseph Masters in C 18 Reg of Penn Vol Cavalry. The pension was last paid Feb 4 1911 by the U.S Pension Agent at Louisville Ky. Cause of death intestitial chronic nephritis. She became sick about March 4 1911, attending physican, Dr John M English. The person in charge of taking care of her was Mary A Masters for about a 15 day duration. She died March 11 1911 and is buried at Sycamore Cem Hardin Co Ky. Claimant was T.C. Crawford, undertaker, who charged $40.
