Henry Nelson, 81, of Springfield died at 10:30 am Monday [Jun 1987] at the Haven Convalescent Center. Mr. Nelson was born in Greensburg, Ky., on 1 Apr 1906, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Nelson. He had resided in Springfield for many years. Surviving are 2 nephews, Delmer and Harlan Nelson, both of Springfield; and 2 nieces including Nora Nelson of Springfield. Staab Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.

Henry Nelson is my great-great Uncle. His mother was Caroline Nelson, who's maiden name was also Nelson. Caroline was born Jul 14 1876 in Kentucky and died Oct 24 1946 in Taylor County, Kentucky. Caroline's Father was John Thomas Nelson and her Mother was Mary Caroline Morris

Henry's Niece, Nora, was my grandmother. The obit has her last name as Nelson, which is incorrect. Nora's birth name was Morrison and she preceeded him in death, passing away on March 16, 1981.
