Clemon Elwood Jeffries, 69, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Friday, March 26, 2004, at the Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Elizabethtown, Ky. Son of the late Bennie and Nonie Whitlock Jeffries, he was born on April 4, 1934 in Green County, Ky. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Green County. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Janet Jeffries of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Pearldean Jeffries of Greensburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Elois and Roy Pierson of Jeffersonville, Ind.; one aunt, Ethel Adams of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Jason Jeffries of Campbellsville and Jonathan Jeffries and Ashley Jeffries, both of Greensburg; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Jeffries and Austin Jeffries, both of Campbellsville. He was also preceded in death by one son, Clemon Elwood Jeffries Jr. Funeral was on Monday, March 29 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Revs. Dan Perkins and Charlie Warren officiated. Interment was in Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville. Pallbearers were Jason Jeffries, Jon Jeffries, Elton Jeffries, Delton Jeffries, Calvin Curry and Terry Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Ashley Jeffries, Logan Sallee, Carlos Curry, Ronnie Glass, Kevin Glass, Sean Wright and Robert Adams.
