Mrs. Lovie Cassady Holland, daughter of the late Mr. P.G. Cassady and Mrs. Mary Sexton Cassady was born 5 Sept 1899 in Metcalfe Co. and departed this life on Mon. 28 Jan 1985 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was 85 years 4 months and 23 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Dewey Holland, who preceded her in death on 21 Oct 1968. To this union was born 1 son, Mr. Edwin Holland, Greensburg. She was also survived by 1 daughter-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Holland, Greensburg. Mrs. Holland is also survived by 1 grandchild, Mr. Billy Holland and 1 great-grand child Michael Todd Holland, along with a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Wed. 30 Jan with burial in the Macedonia Cem. Rev. Ancil Durrett officiated. Pallbearers were Wilburn Bonta, Larry Wisdom, Gilbert Larimore, Chester Vandyke, Randall Gray and Garry Landis. Honorary pallbearers were Hubert Davis, Joe Close Gordon Pickett, David martin, Earnest Simpson, Fred Mays and Georgie Vance.
