Mr. Coy Thomas Garrison, son of the late Edward Clayton Garrison and Mrs. Sarah Wright Garrison was born 26 Dec 1913 in Green Co., and departed this life at 8:20 pm Fri. 24 Aug 1984 at the West Lake Cumberland Hospital in Columbia, Ky. He was 70 years and 8 months of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Fry Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Mrs. Gertrude Coffey Harmon on 28 Jun 1947, who survives. Mr. Garrison is also survived by 1 son, Clayton Garrison, Greensburg; 2 step-daughters: Mrs. Jack “Alene” Agee, Atlanta and Mrs. Lois Ray, Texas; 3 stepson: Mr. Ralph Harmon and Mr. Carroll lee Harmon, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. Stanley Harmon of Magnolia; 1 sister, Mrs. Oscar “Vida” Rose, Greensburg and 1 brother, Mr. Otis Garrison of Magnolia, 4 grandchildren, DeWayne Garrison, Tammy Garrison Hickerson and Darlene Garrison, all of Rt. 4, Greensburg; Sheila Garrison Post, Glasgow; 1 great-grandchild, Zachary Hickerson, Greensburg; 14 step-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2 pm sun. 26 Aug 1984 with burial in the Greasy Creek Cem. Rev. Wilburn Bonta and Rev. Ivan Jones officiated. Pallbearers were Bill Garrison, Davis Rose, Harold Garrison, Jackie Rose, Oscar Rose, Jr. and Earl Judd.
