Mary Pauline Curry Patterson, 85, of Greensburg, Ky., died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Daughter of the late Howard Curry and Mildred Thompson Curry, she was born on Aug. 20, 1922, in Green County, Ky. She was a member of Greensburg Baptist Church, where she was active in the music department and was a past organ and piano player. She was a retired teacher having taught for 39 years. She was married to Elmer Patterson on Jan. 25, 1946. He survives. Survivors also include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Joan Patterson of Lexington; a granddaughter, Mallory Patterson of Lexington; and a sister, Ruby Montgomery of Lexington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Richard Patterson, on July 24, 2002. Funeral was Saturday, June 28 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Tucker officiated. Pallbearers were Gary Patterson, Tony Patterson, Richard Patterson, David Montgomery, John Montgomery and Benny Montgomery.
