Mary Beatrice Rogers Brown of Green County, Ky., died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Kensington Manor Nursing Facility in Elizabethtown, Ky. Daughter of the late Adolphus Rogers and Bessie Eubank Rogers, she was born in Taylor County. She was a member of Greensburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Sue and Glen Hancock of Greensburg, Ky., and Sandra and Dwayne Ellis of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Rogers; and a sister, Allene Clarke. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Greensburg United Methodist Church. Bro. Dale Curry will officiate. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Her body was donated to the University of Louisville Bequeathal Program for research. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Greensburg United Methodist Church or the Methodist Children's Home in Versailles and can be made at the funeral home or the church.
