Alberta's twins knew her when they visited Peter David at his home in Green County when they were about 8 years old (1949). She was old to them, but very capable of doing her chores around the farm.
She made them comfortable in the feather beds at night. Theda Elmore, daughter of Flora Elmore, Alberta's sister, told me a story (2007) recently that Fronnie cut off the legs of the four poster beds so she wouldn't have to reach so high when making the feather beds!
