Hello, Richard Palmer,

I checked Volumes I and II of "Ohio County, Kentucky Cemeterys" for your Martha E. Burden Wilson without any success. I don't believe that the Wilson Cemetery was listed in either book, though. These books were copyrighted in 1975 and 1977 respectively, so there may have been other volumes printed since then.

Good luck in your search.

Hello Richard,
The only thing I have is Bradford Burden born abt 1851.
His father was James Burden and his mother was Ellen
Clark. Bradford was my husband's great grand-uncle. If
this is the same Bradford, I have his brothers and sisters
names. This is an on going search so I'm still looking.
If I can help anymore, please let me know. Glenna

Wilson Cemetery is where most of my father's family is buried. We have walked it many times. The graves that you want are quite prominent. There is a large granite slab with wonderful geneological information on it.
Elijah C. Wilson b. Nov. 2, 1874 d. Dec. 23, 1966
Martha E. Wilson b. Aug. 18, 1875 d. Aug. 2, 1958
Married Nov. 3, 1892 at age of 18 yrs. (Elijah)
Birthplace Ohio Co. KY
Married Nov. 3, 1892 at age of 17 yrs (Martha)
Birthplace Grayson Co. KY

Three Daughters: Tula b. July 30, 1893
Clara b. Mar. 2, 1896
Essie b. Feb. 2, 1899
Clerk Rowan Holbrook This is recorded in Ohio Co. CourthouseMarriage book 7 Page 460

This is all of the information that is on the grave stone. We also talked to Sam Cannon, a grandson of Elijah's on one of our trips to the cemetery and he said that Elijah was a very generous man, he drank a pint a day----and that Martha was tight with money. I also have the cemetery records for the three daughters and their husbands if you need them. Elijah Caleb was a brother to my Greatgrandmother. I have a lot of the graves copied from the Wilson Cemetery. Let me know what you need. Sue

Do you happen to know what happened to Annie Burden, the daughter of Bradford Burden? She was married to Almarion Morris in the early 1890's. They both died some time in the early 1900's.
