If you still need information. I am working on my ADAMS tree so I have more on Marcus LaFayette STEWART's wife's family but do have some on him.
If you need any look-ups done I have made several trips to Mayfield and plan to go again soon. I was just there two weeks ago for a couple of days. I only live about two hours from there. The Adams line is the line I used to get into the DAR this year. Have you been to Mayfield? They have a wonderful set of books that are the Genealogical Newspaper Abstracts Index for the Mayfield newspaper that go back to the 1870's and the microfilm to go with them. I have found great information about the family in those.
The members of the Genealogy Society are very active and helpful. They have members at the library a part of each day to help researchers.
Your Jerlean is a sister to my 3rd great-grandfather, William H. ADAMS. Since the Adams family had been in Graves Co. since it became a county in the1820's there are a lot of records on this family.
The Graves County Genealogical Society has a website with contact information and they do look-ups for people. They meet monthly and cover what information is needed to help researchers. That is why I try to go on 2nd Mondays that is when they meet each month and the library is open until 8:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. I try to do three day trips.
I also have some family pictures and Adams Bible records that I received from Earl Adams who has been doing this family for years. If you haven't been in contact with him, let me know and I will see how much he has on the Stewarts. I have Marcus LaFayette Stewart's wife as Nancy Jerlean (ADAMS) STEWART. Do you have all the names and birth information on the Stewart children?
