Thank you for the reply. Where does the surname Jessop come into play? Our family comes through Bartlett and Eunice's grandson Bartlett Thomas. Our family comes through a female so we can't establish or confirm the surname. This takes a boy. A boy in Emmanuel's line has done a family finder test (like us) so we have connected but establishing and confirming the surname is vital.
It would also help to have Family Finder tests from descendants who never left the GRANT KY region that track back to Urial/Uriah Royal. The DNA work is being done through FamilyTreeDNA. Our kit won't help because the family pushed off to IL/MI. We need help from cousins in KY! I salw where there were a few different early Piercefields in KY. DNA can help folks understand the relationships of all of the Piercefields and give us information from our ancestors to help us find the region of colonies where they lived before Kentucky and hopefully where in Europe the family tracks before they made the voyage to the colonies.
Thanks again for the wonderful reply.
