Looking for information on John W. CHILDERS (who married Martha GUNTER in Wood Co,TX), believed to be the son of Robert CHILDERS and Emily BELEW. Does anyone have proof that he is their son? He may have been born Sept 19, 1841 in Pendleton or Grant Co, KY. Robert CHILDERS is on the Pendleton Co. Census for 1840. Robert and Emily's children are listed with Emily's parents, Thomas and Sarah (THRASHER) BELEW in Pendleton Co on the 1850 Census. There is a John listed, and I think this may be John W. These children are next listed on the 1860 census in Wood Co, TX with Emily's sister Sarah (BELEW) and her husband William DALE. I have been told Robert is the son of Henry CHILDERS and Mary THOMPSON, and that Henry is the son of Henry CHILDERS and Susanna GOOLSBY. Can someone point me to some documentation?
