Marie C. Cook Clinkscales, 86, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Grant County, Kentucky, died August 19, 2002 at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. She was born in Walton, a daughter of the late Leonard Sr. and Hallie Neal Cook. She and her husband were former owners of a Williamstown grocery store. She later worked as a receptionist for several tobacco warehouses in Carrollton and had actively farmed since 1954. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorin Maurice "Doc" Clinkscales in 1986; three brothers, Oscar Clinkscales, Obbie Clinkscales and Howard Clinkscales; and two sisters, Beulah Frees and Janette Cook. Survivors are one son, Don M. Clinkscales of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Judith Ann Perry of Spring, Texas, Rita Schwab of Dupont, Indiana, and Johnie Marie VanHoy of Mitchell, Indiana; one brother, Leonard Cook Jr. of Morning View, Indiana; two sisters, Mabel Roberts of Hebron and Jan Ray Ryan of Verona; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were August 22 at Morgan-Webster-Fay Fuenral Home in Madison. Burial was in Williamstown Cemetery.
