LaVerne Milner Callahan, 57, of Williamstown, died April 10, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. She was born in Cordova, a daughter of the late Denzil Sr. and Loretta Middleton Milner. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of Christ in Williamstown. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robet Callahan; and sister, Ruby June Beckler. Survivors include two sons, Doug Callahan of Williamstown and Robert Callahan of Corinth; one daughter, Debbie Sexton of Corinth; four brothers, Dean Milner of Florida, Ronnie Milner of Piner, Denzil Milner Jr. of Florence, and Roy Milner Sr. of Cynthiana; three sisters, Bernice Dixon of Shelbyville, Rita Sparrow of Williamstown, and Jean Tapp of Clarksville, Indiana; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 14 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Burial was in Thompson-Skinner Cemetery in Cordova.
