I am seeking information on CELIA POINTER of GARRARD County, KY. She was
born in June 1814 and married DAVID KENNEDY around 1851. Her two children
who lived were DAVID V. KENNEDY (18 Mar 1854-28 Dec 1921) and WALKER S.
KENNEDY (1855-?). She was most likely dead by 1864 when David KENNEDY
remarried. She is listed in the 1860 census living in LINCOLN Cty, KY with her husband and family.

She may be related in some way to Vincent POINTER (c1786-c1840) & his wife
Anna Thompson (c1788-c1827) mainly because they are in the same county and
there are several males named Vincent and WALKER present in these families.

i have a complet history of pointers,dateing from the 1700,to the 1900.celia is listed as is vincent.i have tax records, marriage records,and so on.from lincoln county to garrard county,to rockcastle.i also have a story of James Bethuram Poynter, father of Brownlow Poynter,my great,great,grandfather.he was shot and killed on the somerset road in November of 1877 by Emmitt Snodgrass and other members of theKKK.i will gladley send you this book that my sister has done on our roots.maybe it will help you.i know its very intersting reading. brenda robinson granddaughter of flossie poynter and thomas viars of sandgap ky.

Do you have any record of W Nancy Pounter and William Owens married in what 11/9/1785 Lincoln county KY which was VA then?
Also would like info on Nancy Owens married James Rains 7/4/1784 same area. I am a descendant of a William (Owens?)who was father of Harden Owens 1796 around that time. scottspools at msn.com
