Andrew J Martin, age 50, birth state NC; with wife Eliza A, age 38, born KY are listed in the 1880 census of Garrard County at Lancaster Court House. I believe this is the same Andrew J Martin, age 29, born NC; and Eliza A Martin listed in the 1860 census of Lincoln County, Crab Orchard district. While I have nothing for the origin of Eliza A, I believe this is the Andrew Martin listed in the 1850 Rockcastle census as age 18, son of Pleasant and Elizabeth Martin. If I am tracing the right Martin, Andrew is the brother of my great grandfather, George Washington Martin, who died 1905 and is buried in the Woods-Green Cemetery at Cartersville. Since there are no children listed in either 1860 or 1880 census, it seems probable that Andrew and Eliza had no children. I have been unable to find any information for Andrew and Eliza after the 1880 Garrard County census. I will appreciate any information for this family.
