In the early 1800's there were a number of SMITHs living in the Brier Hill Precinct along the forks of the North Elkhorn. They left good wills naming descendants. However, the relationships among them isn't clear. WILLIAM "GOLDMINE", CAPT. WILLIAM, two BENJAMINS, JOHN, SAMUEL, FRANCIS are all early settlers. Are some brothers, cousins? Related how back in Virginia? From what counties?
