Hello, I'm wondering if you were ever able to find Robert B. Metcalfe on any records. If he is the one I am familiar with, he was born in Fayette County but was living in Independence, Texas at the start of the Civil War. I have lots of information about him, but I haven't been able to find him for sure on any records for the war.
