Only finding a John McCartney in Fleming Co., KY married to a Mary Dent, but several children. Do you have any brothers or sister's names in earlier census records?

Under Kentucky's Birth sometimes Death Records before 1911, it would only be listed if the county recorded it, and someone transcribed and sent to Ancestry.com.

Possible query to the county where she lived when she died, could do an obituary look up for you. Often that will yield whom she may have been the daughter.
