Zerelda Barbee is the daughter of Lewis Barbee and Katherine Hawkins Allen. Lewis and Katherine were married on 25 Nov 1814 Fayette Co KY. This was Lewis Barbee's 1st marriage. (2nd marriage 2 Sep 1822 to Mary Coleman "Polly" Goodwin; 3rd marriage 18 Sep 1833 to Catharine I. Winn.)
Katherine Hawkins Allen Barbee b 10 Dec 1796 d 14 Dec 1821, was the daughter of Joseph Allen b 7 Sept 1766 d 24 Feb 1825, m 5 Feb 1789 to Sarah Craig. The other children of Joseph Allen and Sarah Craig Allen were, Mary Craig Allen, Simeon Allen, Greenberry Allen, Sarah W. Allen, Buford Allen and Eliza C. Allen.
Zerelda is mentioned in her father's will and has the last name of Boyle, other children mentioned are Joseph James Barbee, Samuel Porter Barbee, Benjamin Lewis Barbee and Lee Ann Winn Barbee.
I do not have any further information on Zerelda Barbee Boyle, but I do have info on her siblings. I also have copy of Lewis Barbee's will dated 31 Aug 1835, (Book M Pg 162 Fayette Co), he died 5 Sept 1835 in Fayette Co., KY.
I believe Lewis is son of Joseph Barbee and Leeannah -?- Barbee and the uncle of my gr gr grandfather Joseph R. Barbee.
