Hilyard (Hilleard) (Hilliard) pittman was born in KY or NC in 1815 and married Sallie Ann Hockersmith in 1844 in Monroe county, MO then moved to Davis county, IA and lived with brotherinlaw ,Thomas Jefferson Hockersmith, then moved to Lewis county, MO where they raised their family and Died in 1898 in Monticello cemetery. They had 5 children Jackson,Mary Emma,William,Martha Jane and Martin Van. Martin is my G grandad. Can't find the father of Hilyard, but there is a close relationship with Jesse Pittman, Jacob Hockersmith, (from Estill county, KY) John Skinner and Jeptha Pittman.This group is all related so can Hilyard( I spell it Hilyard because thats what's on the tombstone) be Jesse's son? How should I proceed to find this info?
