Can anyone give me the story about Jmes Townsend who
married Sukie (sp?) Robinson who was an Indian? 1800's
Possibly related to the wife of a Samuel Gross..I am
trying to put together a Family History book..I have
a grandson whose Gross family is from Estill Co KY..
and this Indian lady would be his 4th gr grandparent..
I heard there was some kind of Indian trouble? The
Indians killed both Sukie and Townsend and buried
them on (Townsend) cave. The story is in some book
there, but I have no way of getting a copy of it...
Would also be interested in any ancestors/descendants
of SAMUEL GROSS/VIRGINIA COMBS; GRANVILLE GROSS/b1867
