August 27, 1816. Then I have their daughter Elizabeth Eldridge( My gr gr grandmother) b. 1833 married Clement Anderson b. 1826 in Cumberland Co. Their son ( my gr grandfather) Wm. Henry Anderson b. January 28, 1857 In Cumberland Co. married Mary Josephine Norris 1901 her birth Feb. 1882. Their daughter ( my grandmother) Beulah Gladys Anderson b. November 17, 1907maarried Willie Lee Tweedy in 1922.Their son (my father) Marshall Ray Tweedy b.December 6, 1933. Does any of this make sense with what you have later in your line because I don't have a Nancy Eldridge. I have Elizabeth who married Clement. Could they possibly be sisters? Thanks Tami

William Eldridge born 1742. I have only one child listed
for them, Nancy Eldridge born 1817. She was married to
Wilson "Wiltz" Anderson, born 1816, and they had 6 children.
Your Polly Prewitt was a sister to my Ephriam Prewitt 1787=
1855. The Prewitt/Pruitt families were from Cumberland and

I am from Cumberland County originally and am trying to find out some information about my maternal side of the family.
Especially interesting for me is my gr-gr-gr-grandmother Keziah Eldridge who married Squire(Square) Daniel Logan, b. 01. Jan 1820, d. 02. June 1891. They are from Kettle Creek, Cumberland Co.
Does anyone have any info about "Kizzy"? I have a blank!

The Prewitts changed the spelling of their name to Pruitt.
The Pruitts and Prewitts lived in Cumberland Co., KY.
Solomon Prewitt, Sr was the father of Ephraim Pruitt and Solomon Pruitt, Jr. and Ailcy Elizabeth Pruitt.

Solomon Prewitt was in Revolutonary War and drew a pension.
His last wife was Mary Lollar, whom he married when he was 98 and she was 74. They were married for 12 years. When he died he was 110 years of age, and Mary was 86. She got his pension.

Ephraim Pruitt married Lurania ????. Their daughter, Sarah, married James Madison Riddle. These were my gr-gr-grandparents. Their daughter Mary (Polly) Ann Riddle married Colonel Winfrey Long. These were my gr-grandparents.
Their daughter Ailcy Elizabeth Long married James William Wheeler, these were my grandparents.

Ailcy Elizabeth Pruitt married John Long, my gr-gr-grandparents. Their son Colonel Winfrey Long married Mary Ann Riddle, my gr-grandparents.

Not sure if you can help me out or not, but my grandparents were from Whitley Co, KY and my grandmother was a Prewitt, Annabelle. Her father was Cager Silas Prewitt and she married Alva Ray Centers. She had a brother Earl and a sister (possibly half-sister) Billie Ruth. If you have any info on these Prewitt's, I would appreciate hearing from you.

As far as I know she was only married to Daniel Logan, they were married about 1850 and she was born approx. 1829.

Nancy Eldridge was daughter of William Eldridge and Polly Prewitt Eldridge. She was born in 1817 and married Wilson (Wiltz) Anderson. Her sister, your Elizabeth, was born 1833 and married Clement Anderson. Clement and Wilson were brothers and sons of John Anderson.

I decend from Nancy (Sallie) Eldridge Anderson and her husband Wilson Anderson.

The marriage bond signed by Solomon Prewitt and James Lollar/Loller was not for a marriage to Mary Lollar, but to Mary Dulworth/Dulwit. I have a copy of the application of Solomon's widow Mary Dulworth/Dulwit and it contains the original bond that states a marriage was to take place between Solomon Prewitt and Mary Dulwit. I am attaching a copy of that page. Solomon had a wife Mary when he applied for a pension (1829) but it was not Mary Dulwit/Dulworth as the bond was not taken out until November, 1840. In her application, Mary Dulwit/Dulworth states that she and her husband had been married 12 years, which more or less agrees with the date of the bond.

I suppose the mistake of who Mary Dulwit was came about because James Lollar signed the bond. In the 1830 census of Cumberland Co., KY., James Lollar and the John Dulworth family were next-door neighbors. I believe Mary to be the widow of John, and if so, her maiden name would have been Broadway. The Lollar line is mine. I have researched it for ca. 35 years and have no reason to think that Mary Dulwit was a Lollar
