Do you have any information on R. L. Roach, b. 1856 probably Celina, TN? Is he the R. Logan Roach that you mention?. He married H. E. Clary in Clay Co, TN. I believe this is Hannah Clary, daughter of John Clary and Jane Willis. Jane Willis' grandmother was Elizabeth Spear. I would love to exchange information.

Does anyone have data about Mary McClusky, born about 1844 d/o John McClusky and Sally Biggs. In John McClusky's will, his daughter Mary is referred to as Mary Roach.

Hello,
This thread is older...but I am wondering about, "after going to Texas" here. If John and Sarah are present on the 1900 Cumberland County census then wasn't Sarah getting kind of old to be having a son?
Roach, John, 56, m 39 years
Sarah, 56, 8/8
Malissa, 14
Spear, Melvina, 25, wid
Jno H, 5, grandson
Roach, Sarah, 6, granddaughter
Thomas, 5, grandson
Does this mean they went to Texas and returned?

Shirley,
If you are still reading...I believe William G. Roach, son of Elijah, was the one who married Mary McCluskey. William Roach served in the civil war in the same unit as his brother, Joshua (out of Barren County). William is found on the 1870 Adair County census; later the family is found in Hart County, KY. In 1860 William was at home with his father (Cumberland County). Elijah Roach is then found on the 1870 Overton, TN census.
