My brick wall is my great-great-grandfather, Reuben Miller Dillon. He was born in Kentucky in 1832. Place and date are unknown. He might be in the 1850 census for Boon township, Warrick County, IN as Ruben Dillon, age 19 born in KY and living with the C K Allen family. That, as I have discovered is Cyrus K Allen. Cyrus' wife is Martha Jane Carter from Cumberland County, KY. I'm speculating that Ruben (possibly my Reuben) was a cousin or neighbor of Martha in Cumberland County, KY. By 1857, my Reuben Miller Dillon is in Amador County, CA applying for a marriage license. He spent the rest of his life in Amador County, CA until he died in 1899. Can anyone help me with this problem. Again, I am speculating that Ruben/Reuben might be from Cumberland County, KY.
