Could someone give me directions to Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County? Thank you!

From Burkesville city limits go east on KY-90 four miles. Turn right onto KY-449. Approx. 4+ miles turn left onto KY-1206. Chestnut Grove Methodist church is a red brick on right approx. 2-3 miles. Cemetery is behind church.

About 18 months ago I photographed all of the tombstones in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. If you'll send me names, I'll check for you to see if I can find the ones you're looking for.

Thank you very much for offering! We're looking for Ranson/Ransom Hoots (B 2-15-1811-D 12-10-1895) and his wife Sarah or Sallie Hogan (B4-12-1812 - D 10-15-1897). Ranson is my husband's 3rd great grandfather. I believe their daughter Lousia Hoots Vaugh and her husband J. Wm Vaugh are buried at the same place. Would like pictures of any of the Hoots line.

Yes, Sallie & Ranson Hoots are buried there, as well as "Lueasy" and Bill Vaughn. I'm assuming these last 2 are the daughter and son-in-law that you mention.

These dates are from the Cumberland Co. Cemetery book:

Sallie's dates are listed as b. 12 Apr 1812, d. 15 Oct 1897
Ranson's dates are b. 15 Feb 1811, d. 10 Dec 1895
Lueasy Vaughn b. 30 Aug 1858, no death date listed
Bill Vaughn, b. 20 Jul 1857, d. 28 May 1930

I've not organized the photos yet but will be working on that over the next few weeks. At that time, I'll send them to you.

Yes, I'm related to the Hoots, but it's through collateral lines. My direct lines are King, Perkins, Riddle and Flowers

Do you have location for the grave site of Susan Flowers? b 6 October 1812 and d 24 February 1903. I have looked twice with help and have been unable to locate the stone. Her daughers Nancy and Elizabeth are there and there is one stone that is impossible to read. Could that be it?

The church and cemetery are located at the entrance to Dale Hollow Lake State Park. Follow the direction signs to the park and the cemetery is on the right.

I'm 99% certain that I found her stone. I've got to organize the photos, then will let you know for usre.
