Ms.Harburn,
I see that this posting is ten years old--and I don't know if you will still get this message or not--but I thought I'd try! My name is James L. Stevenson, and I have just started trying to use these various web-sites which deal with genealogy. My great-great-great-great grandfather was Lemuel King Baker--or so I've always been told, and all of the old family notes and information also state--but there seem to be several different ones. I probably don't have all of his children, but here are the ones that I do have. Almira, Julia, Pauline, Horatio Nelson, and the one I descend from--William Rodney Baker. I know that all of mu info on William Rodney Baker is correct because it has been published in the Texas State Handbook as well as several places on-line. This William Rodney Baker and his 17 year-old nephew were killed and scalped by indians near Onion Creek, just south of Austin, Texas on Feb 1, 1842. Any assistance you might be able to provide will be appreciated beyond words. Best regards--James L. Stevenson
