My grandmother was Cordellia Hollingsworth born 25 Feb. 1890 in Garrard Co and she married John Samuel Ross in Garrard Co. Her parents were Barton Hollingsworth who married Florence Kinnard. Barton was born 01 Jan 1865 in Madison County. His father was Issac Hollingsworth born @1840 in Clay Co. and he married Rebecca Robinson born @1842 in North Carolina. They married 24 June 1856 in Clay Co. From the 1860 Clay County Census, it showed Issac as a son of John Hollingsworth and Elizabeth Lunsford. The 1860 census shows their children as Issac, Easther, Sarah and Elizabeth. The 1850 census has children as Esther, Betsy, Polly, Nancy and Sarah A. I have come up against a wall with all the Hollingsworth names and so many named John. If anyone has a connection with this family, I would be very grateful.
