I'm looking for more information on the W.H. Fortson Mill and William Henry Fortson.

W. H. Fortson appears to be the last owner of my ggggrandmother, Lucinda Fortson. Birth records say that her eldest children (larkin and Henrietta) were born at the W. H. Fortson Mill and were owned by W. H. Fortson.

Based on records I have found, it seems Fortson inherited the mill and land from his father-in-law Robert Harrison, but Lucinda (b. 1835) is not mentioned in Robert's will.

It would seem that a major mill would have some historical significance, but info on the business and the Fortson family has been elusive. I would especially love to find Fortson family papers or papers from the mill that may shed some light on how my ancestor came to be with the Fortson family.
