James married Nearcy Sinkhorn in Casey County she was the daughter of Ezekiel Sinkhorn and Sally Hindman James and Nearcy are my moms great-grand parents. Nearcy's given name was America but she was also called Mary Nina James Earls, Nearcy and their children Sarah, Amanda, Margaret, Mary F, William B, and George all appear in the 1850 kentucky cnesus. Sarah married Eson Taylor in 1859 and remained in kentucky when the rest of the family relocated to Hoyleton Washington Illionis. The family minus Sarah appears on the 1860 census for that place. They had another son in Illinois his name was Stephen Douglas Earls born in Washington County Illinois in 1860 after the Census was taken. The family as a whole vanished from any records i can find. Some people say nearcy died in Kentucky in 1912. I find it difficult to believe that she would leave her infant son in illinois and my moms grandfather never left illinois. His sister Margaret married Issac Elifritz and they lived in Petoka and had several children one daughter Mary married a man named hathaway and one of their children was named Nellie Nellie Married a man named Matheney and they moved to Decatur, Illinois where my mom and her family resided and was close with her second Clarence Arthur Earles and his family. Stephen Douglas Earles married Armitta Caroline Faulkner daughter of Abner Faulkner and Maria Railey copple in DeWitt County Illinois and they made their home in Heyworth, Illinois where they lived until death he was a farmer like his father James Earles. Stephen Douglas Earles often spoke of Margaret Earles Elifritz his sister taking care of him unfortunately no one living recalls any other information about the family help please I was told that Sarah Earls m Eson Taylor 1859 kentucky died in 1866 in kentucky and i can't find any records of eson Taylor after 1860 help with that tooo please I have been told that Sally Hindman Sinkhorn married James Earles father of my James Earles however I have found a marriage between Sally Sinkhorn and Simpson in 1851 and found Sally Simpson listed as mother and living in the home of Sally Hindman Sinkhorns eldest daughter Nancy who married Edmond Cooley in the 1880 census I can't find a record of a Sally Earles marrying Simpson so i do believe that it is a differeny Sally Sinkhorn who married James Earles the older help with this too if you can please I do have a copy fo Stephen and Armitta's marriage license where he states that his parents were James Earls and Mary Sinkhorn of kentucky as well as photographs of James and of Stephen unfortunately i dont have any of Mary/ Nearcy Sinkhorn
