Lilburn J. Williams of Carter Co.,KY was born in 1826 in Smyth Co.,VA. Married Elizabeth Blankenbeckler in VA and moved to Carter Co.,KY about1850. They were parents to a son, Levi Sexton and three daughters. Daughter Asenia married Abraham(Ham) Maddox. During the last year of the Civil War, Lilburn was taken captive in some guerilla action in Carter Co. and never heard from again--presumed to be executed but body never found and we have no record of his demise or burial.
