Grandview Cemetery
Smith Road
California, Kentucky
This cemetery is pretty large, and the old stones aren’t just in one place, but seem to be placed throughout the cemetery. This listing represents three rows that I recorded in one section. The cemetery is very well kept.

Part One:

This is partial listing of stones, and not in any kind of order (including location – we both took a pad and walked three rows, so all I can say is that these burials were within three rows of each other.) Consider it taking a stroll through the cemetery until you get tired (which is what we did). I’ll do my own disclaimer – there were two of us and some of the stones were so old we put down the information as fact if we both agreed on the number, or letter. Things we couldn’t agree on, we put a question mark behind, and then some inscriptions were just too eroded to read, so I either used a dash or wrote illegible. Any name that didn’t have a death date has the name “Living” instead of the name that was on the stone. Anything in quotations is a saying or additional adornment on the stone. Each stone is indicated by the Capitalized Surname, so the name may appear more than once. I suggest you use your search tool to find names.
