Dexter Scott, 55, of
Princeton, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at 3:40 a.m. at his home, following a short illness.
A subcontractor and construction worker and member of
Highland Baptist Church, he was born Feb. 7, 1954, in
Caldwell County, a son of Helen Irene
Jones Scott of
Princeton and the late
Fields Scott Jr.
He was preceded in death by a brother,
Fields Scott III.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a son, Jeremy Scott of Kuttawa; two daughters, Tabatha Scott-Kiper and BreAnna Scott, both of Princeton; four grandchildren, Jacob Scott,
Madison Scott,
Hunter Cook and
Dallas Cook; three brothers, Randall Scott and Ricky Scott, both of
Princeton and David Scott of Eddyville; five sisters, Bonnie Brown of
Boaz,
Ala., Judy
Vickery and Holly
Waits, both of
Princeton, Nancy
McKinney and Lisa
Rickard, both of Fredonia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr. Scott will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Dean Cotton officiating.
