Dr. Bill Jackson, 77, of Mayfield and formerly of Princeton, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 6:19 a.m. at Mills Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A son of the late Rudy W. and Novella McKeel Jackson, he was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and a retired physician, having practiced in St. Louis, Mo., Princeton and Mayfield. He served on various boards and committees through the years.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Lamb Jackson; three daughters, Debbie Ford of Greenfield, Ind., Elizabeth Watson of Eddyville, and Cathy Mastison of Evansville, Ind.; a son, Jeff Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Melody Gough of Lexington Park, Md.; a stepson, Micah Channell of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Trace Creek Baptist Church in Mayfield with the Rev. Ronnie Stinson officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. (Mayfield, Ky.)
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Scholarship Fund of Generations Adult Care Center, P.O. Box 933, Mayfield, Ky. 42066.
Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
