Shirley Peters, 56, of Grand Rivers, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Marshall County Hospital Emergency Room in Benton, following a long illness.

A homemaker and member of Grand Rivers Missionary Baptist Church, she was born May 6, 1951, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late Harold and Edna Hamby Campbell.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Peters; a daughter, Sharon Walker of Grand Rivers; two grandchildren, Cody Walker and Chelsea Walker; a stepgrandson, Blake Walker; and three brothers, Danny Campbell, David Campbell and John Campbell, all of Lyon County.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

The Rev. Mark Gill will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Meeks Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time Wednesday.
