After my original posting, we had discovered that based on her age and the census data, our Julia Franklin Stone was the daughter of Naomi Pennington Stone. It is believed that John S. Stone was Naomi's son. The two John Stones living side by side to Naomi and with similar naming conventions among the three families makes me wonder if one of the many Stone marriages that you mentioned in Caldwell, Kentucky could be your line. The one that sticks out is the Cassander Pennington married to Henry W. Stone. Your John E. has a son, Henry W. and our Naomi has a Cassandra. Could this be two sisters, Cassander and Naomi, marrying two brothers, Henry and John? I think that I will start looking in that direction. Do you have any thoughts or additional information that could prove or disprove this possibility?
