Big Day at Antioch.
There was an all day meeting at Antioch church last Sunday, with dinner on the grounds. It was the day for the annual reunion of the church membership and there was a good crown in attendance. In the absence of the regular pastor, the Rev. Mr. Richardson, the pulpit was occupied in the forenoon by the R-y, Mr. Brear and at 2 o'clock by Rev. Robert Board.
Antioch church was built twenty-two years ago under the
direction of Elihu Meador, and is the property of the Cumberland Presbyterians. Mr. Meador took a great pride in the church while he lived and contributed $400 of his individual means to its erection. Other sums were donated from time to time by the membership.
Rev. Crabtree was their first pastor. He was followed by Rev. H.C. Hook, who was in charge eight years. Taylor and Wil Meador and Abner Davies are the present official board. They announced their next regular service for the third Sunday in October.
