On October 19, 1821, Breckinridge County, Kentucky, the heirs of William Martin, deceased and his wife Leodocia, deceased, granted William Martin, their brother, the power of attorney to obtain their rights to 100 acres of land in Lee County, Virginia. The said Leodocia Martin, widow of William Martin, transferred, quit claim, sold her interest or dower in the land to a certain John Martin, brother of William Martin, deceased. This land was later sold to John Cox and William Grimes by the following heirs, all of Breckinridge County:

Littleton Martin and Lucretia his wife.
Elisha Johnston and Leodocia his wife.
William Martin and Berlinda his wife.
Daniel Martin and Mary his wife.
James Martin and Sarah his wife.
Stephen Hughes and Jensey his wife.
