Hello: This is actually the wife of Jack Potter responding with his log-in. .This is an old post, I hope you see my reply. John and Melvina Parker are my great great grandparents. I am just starting some ancestry digging and this is all new to me. I found info about their son, John Clay Parker, who left Kentucky after the Civil War and headed to Texas and Oklahoma. He married Eliza Emily Willis, a Choctaw and lived out his life in Texas. One of their children was my grandmother. My sister-in-law started a tree for me, but right now. I ordered a copy of John Clay Parker's enrollment application "packet" for the Choctaw tribe (declined) and he listed John and Melvina Parker as his parents.
