Sorry, I have no information on the parents of James Anderson Buchanan and his sister Mary (Polly) Buchanan Rice. From the census Mary Buchanan was born in VA. I would be interested in any children that Hiram and Nancy Buchanan McDonald had. The son of the John Rice who died in 1811 had a son who married Mary Jane McDonald in the early 1830's unknown where possible Bourbon/Fayette/Clark Counties. They raised a good sized family in Todd County, Kentucky. The census denotes that Mary Jane McDonald was born in Ireland in 1810 but if this is accurate is unknown.
