Betty J. Cline STOKES, Age 77, of MIDDLETOWN, OH passed away June 5, 2009. Betty was born in Owingsville, KY on August 25, 1931 to the late Sherman & Elva (Jones) Cline; was a member of the Eaton First Church of the Nazarene, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, James E. Stokes in 2007. Betty is survived by 2 sons David STOKES and wife, Vickey of Madison, NC, and Steven STOKES of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Brian STOKES of Virginia Beach, VA, David Lee STOKES of Williamsburg, VA, and Jennifer Rorkowski of Fort Worth, TX; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Edith Bickle of Dayton, OH and best friend, Elsie Brewer & family of Trenton, OH. Funeral service 11 A.M. June 9, 2009 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens-3377 US RT. 35-West Alexandria. Interment Preble Memory Gardens. Pastor Brian Deaton officiating. Betty's family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. June 8, 2009 at the funeral home. If desired memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice.
