Born October 1833, probably in Bath County. Resided in Bath County with the Kiethley family in 1850 census. Looking for parents and siblings. Married a gal named Nancy. They resided in Missouri between 1852-1873 where 7 children where born.

It would appear also from the 1850 Bath Census page 68B that
James's father could have been.. William b. c. 1805 no wife
sister.... Margaret b. c. 1834
brother... William W. b.c.1836
sister... Elizabeth B. c. 1838
It will take some Court House time to prove that!

Thank you for your contribution to solving this mystery. I, too, have run across this Hedrick. Perhaps because there was no mother in the household James was indentured to the Kiethley family.
Do you do look-ups in that county? I am in California!!

of Bath County Ky" by James A. Richards He named over 3600
families.

Thanks for looking. I was looking yesterday at a book titled something like Kentuckians in Missouri, which indexes families that moved from different counties in KY to MO. From Bath County, KY there was no mention of this family.
However, since I wrote last I think I have found married names for the daughters and the mother's maiden name from a posting I did, so I know posting queries helps!
