John Stanley Otis, age 81 of Middletown, OH died August 31, 2008 at his residence. He was born April 26, 1927 in Bath County, KY, the son of Richard Lee Otis and Sarah (McGlothin) Otis. John retired from AK Steel where he worked as a Journeyman in the Roundhouse. He is survived by his daughter, Lena Saylor of Liberty Township, OH; two sons, Richard Otis of Monroe, OH and Stanley (wife, Lynn) Otis of Hillsboro, OH; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Lewis, Kimberly Taylor, Amber Helton, Angela Hern, Amy Otis and John Dennis Otis; 8 great grandchildren, Bonnie, Misty, Rebecca, Jessica, Rebekah Clarine, Macayla, Reese, and Nicholas; a sister, Virginia Coyle of Owingsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clarine Otis in 2002; and 12 siblings. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM September 3, 2008 at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
