MRS WILL G. CHILDRESS DIES IN LOUISVILLE

Mrs. W. G. Childress died at her home in Louisville, Monday morning at the ago of 81 years, following a short illness

Mrs. Childress will be remembered by many of the older people of the county. having been born and reared at Freedom. Her maiden name was Katherine Sherfey. She is the last of her family to pass on. She was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Margaret Sherfey. who makes her home with her daughter. Mrs J. C. Francis. She had many relatives in the Freedom-Mt. Hermon section.

Surviving are her husband, three sons and three daughters: Messrs. Julius P., R. Bruce and Willie C. Childress; Mrs. James E. Horine, Mrs. J. Robert Dorsey and Miss Mary W. Childress; ten grand-children. seven; great-grand-children. all of Louisville.

Mrs. Childress was a devoted member of the Baptist Church and spent her life in the service of her Master.

Funeral services were held at the residence yesterday morning and burial was in Resthaven Cemetery, Louisville.
