I too am looking for info on co A and Co B of the 3rd KY. F.J. Staton and his brothers Joseph P and William C (somethimes spelled Stayton or Staten) were part of Co B. F.J. (Felix) started as a Lt in Co A and ended up a Capt after R.F. Stone died at Shiloh. William and Joseph were in Co B.
They were organized at Camp Boone July of 1861 under command of Lloyd Tilghman. I know they fought at Shiloh and Baton Rouge but it is hard to find info after that. It appears the men from Ky were shifted around a lot. At one time they were with Col Beckenridge and then they were split with the 3rd staying with Van Dorn.
