I am related to a Gustavus Adolphus Northington. He was the brother of my GGgreat Grandfather, Thomas Reeks Northington. Their parents were John Wilford Stewart Northington and Mary Reeks Northington. Both were born in Mecklinburg County, Virginia in the 1820's and moved to Autauga County, Alabama in 1850. Gustavus was a Captain in the 7th Alabama Cavalry at the end of the Civil War and I know he was an Attorney, married, with 2 children. After the war he moved to Kentucky with his 2 children and a young black housemaid. His wife died right after the war.
