Who was G. P. CRABTREE who murdered Isaac N. Coffee in 1896 in Cairo, IL?
Does anyone know any more details about this murder and/or what happened to G. P. Crabtree?

I. N. (Isaac) COFFEE, born March 7, 1852, killed in Cairo July 26, 1896 by G. P. CRABTREE, his former clerk. Age 44 years, 4 months, 19 days. Embalmed and buried in Blandville in Vault by I.O.O.F and K. of P. of Cairo, at 3 p. m. on 29th, big funeral.
(Isaac had a Drug Store in Cairo)
Note: Isaac COFFEE was from a prominent Ballard Co. Family. His wife was Lucy Prudence BUGG, also from a prominent Ballard Co. family
