The house did not burn. The original log house is the back part of the house. It has the oldest double fireplace. The mansion part of the house was completed in 1865 by my great great grandfather Richard Henry Crossfield Sr. I think the house has been added to in the past few years. John Crossfield was supposed to be buried in the side yard but I think there is a pool there now. Things never stay the same.
