Overland Park, KS. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 25, at the
Bristol Hill United Methodist Church,
Kansas City, KS. Inurnment in the
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the
Amos Family
Chapel of
Shawnee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church or a charity of choice.
Mr. Myer was born June 8, 1925, in
Kansas City, KS, to Albert and Winnie (
Giles)
Myer. He graduated from the
Wyandotte High School in 1943. He served three years with the
Merchant Marines, graduated from the
Kansas State University in 1950, and was a life member of the Alum Association. Mr. Myer was an officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a manager for the Planters Seed Co. for 35 years. He was a Boy
Scout Leader for several years in the 60s and pulled the chains at the football games for Turner High School for 25 years. Mr. Myer was a Master Gardener and former President and a lifetime member of the Greater
Kansas City Gardeners of
America. He was a former member of the Breakfast at 8:00 Club. Mr. Myer was a member ofthe
Bristol Hill United Methodist Church, where he was a past president of the United Methodist Men and an usher at the first service. Mr. Meyer was a Chairman of various organizations. He loved music, especially Jazz. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Uhlemma "Lemmie"

Myer and his wife, Vicki, Merriam, KS; two daughters, Cassandra
