Elizabeth Hickman Derossett (b. abt 1835) left Polk County, Missouri after the 1880 census, and I found her in Wyandotte Co., KS with her blind daughter, Sarah M. in 1910 Census. It seems to be spelled De Rossel on that census. Elizabeth is still a resident there in 1915. She must have died shortly after that. Elizabeth was the widow of William Daniel Derossett. Daughter Sarah Derossett appears to be on the 1930 census - now listed as age 65.

What newspaper would have serviced obituaries for this area, or do I need to contact a library for archived articles? It's hard to request something when I do not have a date of Elizabeth's death.

Also wondering if there was a school for the blind there in Wyandotte County for Elizabeth to have left her other family back in Missouri.
